Everything from Fish Taco to Hot Dog
Looking for a Fish Taco in a Fort Worth restaurant? How about a Hot Dog?
While it’s doubtful you’ll find both in a downtown restaurant, both are available at Chef Point on Wheels. They’re on the Chef Point Café mobile restaurant take out menu.
Many of the dishes prepared by Chef Franson Nwaeze – recently voted one of the top 10 chefs in Fort Worth – are available at Chef Point on Wheels. They park the mobile kitchen/restaurant in the Gordon Boswell Flowers parking lot, located at 1220 Pennsylvania Avenue across the street from Harris Hospital, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. every Wednesday. Check out the Chef Point on Wheels website at www.chefpointonwheels.com for other locations Chef Point Café’s meals-on-wheels trailer will visit. It’s the only mobile restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex!
The Fish Taco, introduced on July 10th, is blackened grilled Tilapia served on an open flour tortilla with Cajun mayonnaise, lettuce and Pico de Gallo. This is just the tip of the taco shell, however.
Along with the Fish Taco and Hot Dog are assorted burgers (Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Mushroom Cheeseburger and Jalapeno Cheeseburger), sandwiches (Chicken Sandwich and Blacked Chicken Sandwich) and salads (Spring Salad and Mediterranean Salad). Soups to accompany the salads include Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder. There is also quite an assortment of pasta (Pasta Red Sauce, Pasta Meat Sauce, Fettuccini Alfredo Pasta, Chicken Pesto, Chicken Curry, Chicken Alfredo and Pasta Primavera).
Of course, no Chef Point Café restaurant menu would complete without Chef Franson’s signature dish: “Better than Sex Fried Chicken.” Fort Worth favorite Chicken Fried Steak is also available. The dessert menu includes Chef Point Café’s amazing bread pudding.
